How we check parts and offers

MotoServiceKit collects source material from feeds and official documents. Retrieved material is archived with a content hash and a checking record. A hash identifies the captured document or feed; it does not certify that the publisher of that source was correct. The evidence still needs to be assessed in context.

The site is in its initial collection stage. No verified fitment catalogue is published yet. The following process defines what will be required before entries appear.

Offers and compatibility are separate

A merchant feed may provide a part number, title, price, availability, and destination link. Those fields describe an offer. They do not establish which motorcycle versions the part fits. We will not infer compatibility from similar names, broad categories, or the fact that two listings share a price.

Compatibility needs an appropriate source document and a human verifier. The record must identify the vehicle version and the relevant part. AI never writes fitment. Our fitment policy sets out the treatment of incomplete, conflicting, and revised evidence.

Dates and missing information

A source can be checked again without changing. Pages with data will distinguish the last successful check from the last data change. An unchanged response will not manufacture a new price event. Merchant availability can change between that check and your visit, so the destination remains the place to confirm an order.

Price information will retain its currency and known shipping or tax context. Missing charges and unsupported specifications remain unknown. We do not claim measurements or product reviews we have not performed.

When evidence changes, we will review the affected claim and retain the source history. An affiliate relationship cannot bypass these checks. Read the affiliate disclosure for how referrals may fund the publication.
